Unemployment numbers are in for both Iowa and Illinois.
Iowa’s unemployment rate fell to 2.9%, which is down one-tenth of a point from February. The state’s labor force participation rate fell to 67% from 67.2% percent in February. Iowa added 4,000 jobs in March.
Illinois’ unemployment rate didn’t change in March, staying at 4.8%. The number of unemployed workers increased to 312,000. Illinois added more than 26,000 jobs.
