SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Sioux City Art Center announced the Sioux City Artwalk beginning in May!
This year’s art walk is a collaboration between the Sioux City Art Center and downtown art galleries, including Gallery 103, 3 Rivers Art Gallery, Art SUX Gallery, and Vangarde Arts.
“The Art Center is pleased to continue this growing project with other art spaces as we come together to celebrate and support the vibrant art community developing in our downtown area,” said Todd Behrens, Art Center Director.
The first Art Walk on May 2 is scheduled to coincide with the Sioux City Community School District’s Annual Art Show in the Ho-Chunk Centre.
The walk will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Sioux City Art Center. The walk will continue to the Ho-Chunk Centre to view the Sioux City Community School District’s Art Show, to the artwork at Gallery 103 and 3 Rivers Art Gallery, to the Art SUX Gallery for more art, and finally to the event at Vangarde Arts.
All are welcome to view the artwork on display. Snacks and drinks will be available.
Future ARTWALK dates are Thursday, July 11, and Thursday, October 10.
