Last week, the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of the County’s Ambulance Service Director Brian Thomas, and appointed Judy Hiesel as the interim director.
At that time, the board could not decide whether to increase Heisel’s salary from $65,000 to $85,000 to match the salary of the former director. It was decided today not to increase her salary due to the main difference in the rolls being billing and budget restraints.
The board also decided to hire a 3rd party to audit the Ambulance Service and will accept bids through Friday, May 3rd. All bids must be submitted electronically or in person to the Jefferson County Auditors Office by 3 p.m. on Friday.
The bids will then be reviewed during the board’s next regularly scheduled meeting on May 6th.
