Clay County Fair crowns 2024 Fair Queen

SPENCER, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Clay County Fair Queen has been crowned.

For the 20th year, the Clay County Fair hosted the Clay County Fair Queen Competition this past Sunday.

Linnea Bloom of Marathon was crowned this year’s Fair Queen.

Other contestants include the first runner-up, Aubria Stell of Spencer, Hannah Tessum of Everly, and Addison Wyman of Spencer.

Candidates participated in individual interviews, workshops, and a pageant. The pageant included introductions, a portion where the candidates expressed themselves, and concluded with the crowning.

The Clay County Fair said that candidates were judged on personality, attitude and awareness, leadership and citizenship, contribution to the community, overall appearance, charm, poise, and self-expression.

Prizes were awarded to the Queen and first runner-up, including things such as cash, jewelry, a gym membership, tanning packages, roses, and much more.

This year, the Clay County Fair will take place from September 7 through September 15. Many events have already been confirmed including musical acts such as Blues Traveler, KANSAS, Third Eye Blind, and Trace Adkins.
