A bank in downtown Newton is getting a new experienced leader. Bank Iowa announced this morning that Thad Roffey has been appointed Community Bank President for the branch at West 2nd Street North and North 3rd Avenue West. James Feudner, Bank Iowa regional bank president, says Roffey is a University of Iowa graduate and an experienced commercial lender who has served in various business lending and service roles for more than 25 years throughout eastern and central Iowa. According to Feudner, Roffey brings a lot of heart to his work and loves to be involved in the community…regularly volunteering with various community organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, United Way and youth sports teams. Bank Iowa quotes Roffey as saying he’s looking forward to working alongside Newton residents to reach their individual goals, as well as the goals of the community.
