DES MOINES, IOWA (WHO) — We are beginning to get a clear picture of the extent of the damage after a long night of severe weather on Friday, April 26th. The National Weather service now says that preliminary reports indicate that there were 17 tornadoes in Iowa that night.

Thus far, NWS has surveyed nine of the storms and determined the track of 12. Here are the details on the nine tornadoes that are complete:
