Farmers Coop Society breaks ground on Sioux Center meat shop

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Farmers Coop Society (FCS) celebrated the groundbreaking of its full-service meat shop on Wednesday.

According to a release, the “Member’s Cut” venture is intended to support the community and contribute to a sustainable food supply chain.  Officials stated the shop will showcase premium cuts of beef and pork.  

“We are excited to introduce Member’s Cut to our community and surrounding areas, offering premium quality, locally sourced meat that highlights the dedication of our cooperative members,” Director of Marketing and Communications at FCS Jen Sawyer said.  

Many supporters attended the groundbreaking event, including key stakeholders, FCS’s contractor, MBW, members of the FCS Board of Directors, Sioux Center City officials, and senior leaders from FCS.
