Sioux Honey Association restores logo to building on Lewis Boulevard

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The Sioux Honey Association’s logo adorned the side of the company’s building on Lewis Boulevard for decades before it was removed in 2020.

Officials with the company told Iowa Media Wire at the time of the logo’s removal that it had been initially removed while working on new signage ideas.

After nearly 4 years, the logo was restored.

The decision to bring back the logo comes from a desire to honor Sioux Honey Co-op’s rich history, which dates back to when it was formed by five Sioux City beekeepers in 1921. After the recent successful rebranding of our Sue Bee Honey bottles by emphasizing our brands and cooperative, we felt this was also a great time to focus on the heritage of our company. Sioux Honey sees it as an honorable gesture to recognize the company’s roots and the integral role the logo played in our early branding.
