SIOUX CITY, IOWA (Iowa Media Wire) – The Sioux City Explorers signed three new talents to its roster for the 2024 season: right-handed pitchers Nico O’Donnell and Oswald Medina along with outfielder Daniel Montano.
O’Donnell joins the club after two seasons in the Pecos League where the Fresno State alum posted 25 strikeouts and a 9.00 ERA with Lancaster.
Meanwhile, Medina makes the move after two seasons of A Ball in the Phillies system, flexing 132 career strikeouts and a 9.35 career ERA in 155 pro innings.
Montano who spent the last seven seasons in the Rockies system, making the rookie-level top prospect list for Colorado in 2018 before reaching the AAA ranks last season.
The X’s now have 11 pitchers and 9 position players signed for the 2024 season, set to open at Lewis and Clark Park on May 10 at 7:05 p.m. against the Kansas City Monarchs.
