SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — The creator of the Art Center’s substantial textile sculpture is returning to Sioux City to lead Sewing Days in March.
“Razzle Dazzle,” created by Amanda Browder, will be suspended from different areas of the Art Center’s buildings in August, according to a release.
Browder will be hosting sewing days throughout the month of March. On these days, volunteers will pin together long strips of colored fabric and sew them together.
The release noted that no previous experience is required to participate. Browder will be there to walk volunteers through the process.
Sewing Days are open to the public. Locations participating in Sewing Days include the downtown branch of the Sioux City Public Library, Siouxland Center for Active Generations, the South Sioux City Public Library, the Peterson Arts Building at Wayne State College, Unity in Action, and Siouxland GO.
