CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa — A UTV accident in eastern Iowa claimed the life of a child and injured another Tuesday night.
The Iowa State Patrol said the accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. at 2375 210th Street in rural Wheatland. That’s about 30 miles northwest of Davenport.
A 10-year-old was driving the UTV, a Polaris Ranger, eastbound on 210th Street when they lost control, entered the north ditch, and rolled. An 11-year-old passenger died from injuries received in the crash.
The driver was transported to a Davenport hospital. The ISP did not release the severity of their injuries.
The investigation into the crash continues.
