The PCM School District is going to get new home and visitor dugouts at the baseball field in Prairie City…for half the expected cost. Superintendent Michelle Havenstrite told the school board that a student has already significantly cut the district’s expenses on this project.
Superintendent Havenstrite adds that local contractors are also giving the District a deal.
The High School students involved will be from PCM’s Construction Program. A local contractor will be fabricating the frames for the dugouts. Instead of costing 40-thousand dollars for each dugout, Superintendent Havenstrite says that’s what the District expects to pay to have both replaced. They are expected to be completed in May.
