SIOUX CITY, Iowa (Iowa Media Wire) — A Sioux City woman was killed in a crash Thursday night.

According to the Sioux City Police Department, Janice Meek, 68, was killed in the crash.

The crash happened at the Wesley Parkway and 6th Street intersection just at around 8:14 p.m.

Police said that Meek was driving a 2016 Toyota Rav-4 west on 6th Street when she failed to stop at the intersection and rear-ended a 2001 Ford F-150. The collision pushed the F-150 forward, causing it to hit a 2011 Rav-4. Both the F-150 and 2011 were stopped at a red light.

Meek was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. No other injuries were cited in the release.

The accident is still under investigation.
