Davenport West High School was honored by Special Olympics Iowa.

A ceremony recognized the school as a Unified Champion School receiving national banner recognition by Special Olympics. Davenport West hosts monthly meetings of the Falcon Friends that plans activities for students with and without disabilities. The group also participates in unified sports like bowling and golf. Davenport west is one of three schools in Iowa to get the honor.
