BOND HAS BEEN SET AT $35,000 FOR A SIOUX CITY TRANSIENT CHARGED WITH ROBBING A DOWNTOWN BANK TUESDAY FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TEN YEARS.
POLICE SAY 31-YEAR-OLD JONATHAN BIRDNECKLACE ENTERED THE GREAT SOUTHERN BANK SHORTLY BEFORE 10 A.M. AND PASSED A NOTE TO THE TELLER DEMANDING MONEY AND MAKING A THREAT TO SHOOT THE TELLER IF THEY PUSHED AN ALARM.
BIRDNECKLACE FLED THE BANK WITH $2405-DOLLARS.
HE WAS LOCATED ABOUT A MILE AWAY BY POLICE AROUND 3:15 TUESDAY AFTERNOON ON NEBRASKA STREET AND HAD AROUND $1900 IN HIS POSSESSION WHEN HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT.
BIRDNECKLACE WAS BOOKED INTO THE WOODBURY COUNTY JAIL ON A CHARGE OF 2ND DEGREE ROBBERY.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME BIRDNECKLACE HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR ROBBING THE GREAT SOUTHERN BANK AT 329 PIERCE STREET.
HE WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH ROBBING THE BANK ON OCTOBER 30TH OF 2014.
BIRDNECKLACE SERVED SEVERAL YEARS IN PRISON FOR THAT CRIME.
A PRELIMINARY HEARING FOR BIRDNECKLACE HAS BEEN SET FOR FEBRUARY 2ND.
