No injuries were reported Wednesday following a semi versus passenger vehicle accident in Creston.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 1:11 p.m., a 2022 Mack semi, driven by Damon T. White, 51, of Ottumwa, was eastbound on Highway 34 near Laurel Street. White attempted to merge from the inside lane to the outside lane when the front bumper of the semi came in contact with a 2010 Lexus IS 250, driven by Vidal O. Hernandez Ortiz, 35, of Leon, also eastbound.
White told officers he looked before attempting to change lanes and did not see the Lexus because it was in his blindspot.
Damages to the semi and the Lexus were estimated at $1,500 each.
