A Sioux City man was sentenced last week in Buena Vista County District Court to serve up to two years in prison following multiple probation revocation violations.

On September 12th of last year, 33-year-old Alberto Sosa was sentenced for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was given a suspended two-year prison sentence and placed on probation with the Iowa Department of Corrections. Following several violations, a probation revocation was initiated last November. Sosa filed an admission of violations earlier this month.

Sosa’s probation was revoked and the original sentence was imposed. He was sentenced to an indeterminate term of incarceration not to exceed two years with the Iowa Department of Corrections.
