THE NEBRASKA STATE PATROL ARRESTED MULTIPLE PEOPLE DURING INCIDENTS AT THE STATE CAPITOL BUILDING IN LINCOLN DURING LEGISLATIVE DEBATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

DURING THE DEBATE, MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THE OPPONENT BALCONY BEGAN YELLING AND TWO INDIVIDUALS THREW OBJECTS OVER THE BALCONY ONTO THE LEGISLATIVE FLOOR.

THOSE INDIVIDUALS, 24-YEAR-OLD LUCIA SALINAS OF OMAHA, AND 36-YEAR-OLD MAGHIE MILLER-JENKINS OF LINCOLN, WERE ARRESTED FOR OBSTRUCTING A GOVERNMENT OPERATION AND DISTURBING THE PEACE.

A THIRD PERSON, 25-YEAR-OLD MAR LEE OF LINCOLN, WAS YELLING REPEATEDLY AND REFUSED LAW ENFORCEMENT ORDERS TO LEAVE THE BALCONY.

LEE WAS ARRESTED FOR DISTURBING THE PEACE AND TRESPASSING.

THE LEGISLATURE’S PRESIDING OFFICER, LT. GOV. JOE KELLY, ORDERED THE BALCONIES TO BE CLEARED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DEBATE.

56-YEAR-OLD DANNA SEEVERS OF SEWARD, WAS ARRESTED FOR DISOBEYING A LAWFUL ORDER.

THEN A TROOPER OBSERVED A MAN PREVENTING THE SGT. AT ARMS FROM OPENING A DOOR IN THE REAR OF THE LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER.

THE MAN REFUSED TO VACATE THE CAPITOL AND WAS ARRESTED.

40-YEAR-OLD BENJAMIN BURAS OF LINCOLN, WAS CHARGED WITH RESISTING ARREST AND TRESPASSING.

33-YEAR-OLD SARA CRAWFORD OF LINCOLN INTERFERED AND PUNCHED A SECOND TROOPER IN THE CHEST.

SHE WAS ARRESTED FOR OBSTRUCTING A PEACE OFFICER.

ALL SIX PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE LANCASTER COUNTY JAIL.
